The South Wood County Humane Society in Wisconsin Rapids is seeking a compassionate and reliable Animal Care Technician to join our team. This part-time position includes weekday shifts, every other weekend, and some holidays.
Animal Care Technicians are responsible for the daily care and wellbeing of shelter animals, including feeding, cleaning kennels, providing enrichment, monitoring health, and ensuring a clean and safe environment. The role also supports veterinary and behavior teams, assists with intake procedures, and helps maintain strong customer and community relationships.
Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and comfortable in a fast-paced shelter environment. Animal care experience is a plus, but a commitment to treating animals and people with kindness and respect is essential.
