Ways to Get Involved

We rely on great people and volunteers to help provide our residents with enriching interaction and comfort while in our care.

Foster

One of the ways to get involved is to become a Foster Parent to local pets. Fostering means temporarily caring for an animal until they can be placed with their “fur-ever” family.

  • Save Lives - Foster homes give expectant moms, newborns, recovering pets, and seniors the care they need to thrive until adoption.

  • Prepare Pets for Adoption - Foster families help pets learn household routines and basic manners, making them more adoptable.

  • Find the Right Match - Foster families get to know each pet's personality and help connect them with the best forever home.

  • Make a Difference - By opening your home temporarily, you help save lives and create space for more animals in need.

Become a Sponsor

Become an annual corporate sponsor or become a one-time sponsor for an event.

  • Event Exposure - Showcase your business at SWCHS events through banners, signage, and promotional materials.

  • Facility Recognition - Receive year-round visibility with sponsor recognition at the shelter and on our website.

  • Flexible Sponsorship Levels - Select from multiple sponsorship opportunities designed for businesses of all sizes.

  • Community Impact - Demonstrate your commitment to local animals while supporting lifesaving programs and services.
