Welcome to the South Wood County Humane Society's Building Hope Capital Campaign. Our mission as a humane society is to build a stronger bond between people and pets through education and adoption with the goal of promoting the spay and neuter of animals to reduce pet over-population.
The SWCHS's Board of Directors has studied the needs of their organization and has decided to locate to a larger facility to address the agency's needs of both today and for the many years to come. The proposed facility, The Guardian's Inn Pet Resort located on Hwy 54 East, will provide approximately 8,000 square feet of existing space which is almost three times the agency's current space. This facility will provide larger and more kennels for our animals, storage areas, clinical room, grooming, nursery rooms, larger reception area, and outdoor and indoor play areas, plus dog walking trails and a state of the art air-flow systems.
The new facility will also be cleaner, safer, and larger living environment. It will also provide a more segregated environment for those animals that need seperate living arrangement due to illnesses, injuries, or aggression. Our pregnant moms and young puppies or kittens will also be able to have a quieter, more private space to rest and grow.
Please help out to reach our goals for our Building Hope Capital Campaign. To donate, please select the Donate button to the left of the website. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact our director at the SWCHS.
